The Cider Press is in a small place called Watton, about two miles north west of Bridport. It's a converted barn from the 1870s. It's detached, so it's quiet. You've got your own enclosed garden.
It sleeps seven over four bedrooms, but it's all in one bathroom. There's an extra ground floor wet room for getting sand off, too. The living area is upstairs, under the beams. That's the main thing. Some people call that layout upside down. The stairs are wood and fine, but one bit at the top is a little steeper.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The beds are good, with feather and down duvets. Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and space for bikes.
You can walk to the coast from here. There are footpaths across the fields to Eype beach and West Bay harbour in about twenty minutes or so. By car it's five minutes. West Bay has pubs, rock pooling, and is part of the Jurassic Coast. Bridport is close for shops. It has a good market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
If you want to go fossil hunting, Charmouth is about a fifteen minute drive. Lyme Regis is maybe twenty-five minutes. Further along, Weymouth is about forty minutes. Inland, the countryside is good for walking or riding.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a highchair, cot, and stairgate if you need them. There's parking on site.
