This is Roselands. It's a bungalow just outside Portesham in Dorset. It's detached, and the garden goes round the sides. You look out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely.
The main thing is the railway carriage. It's an old 1897 London South Western Railway carriage that's been attached to the side. You can get into it from the living room or the kitchen. Inside there's a boot room, a dining room with a big table, and a garden room to sit in. It's an unusual space.
Inside the bungalow, there's a living room with a woodburning stove and a window seat. The kitchen leads into a utility room. There's a dining table for four in the hall. You get included WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided.
You can bring two dogs.
Portesham has a shop and a pub, both about a five minute walk. For the coast, it's about two miles to the nearest bit of the Dorset World Heritage coastline. You can get to Weymouth in about fifteen minutes by car.
Inland, there are plenty of walks and cycle paths straight from the door. If you want a day out, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are about half an hour's drive. The National Trust looks after Chesil Beach and other parts of the coast nearby. For local walks and information, the Dorset Council AONB site is useful.
There's parking on site.
