Blacksmith's Cottage
This is Blacksmith's Cottage in Upwey, near Weymouth. It's one of a pair built recently where my grandfather's old workshop used to be. The front looks out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place so it's comfortable and well equipped. The floors are tiled downstairs which is handy with dogs or wet coats. You can bring one dog.
The local pub and a restaurant are about a five minute walk away. The shop is in the village, a bit further. Weymouth town and the beach are about a ten minute drive.
You're right on the edge of the Jurassic Coast. For a walk, the South West Coast Path is easily reached. For a proper beach, Chesil Beach is about twenty minutes north. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are in the other direction, maybe half an hour by car. Dorchester is close for bigger shops.
The cottage has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car out the front. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
