The Pod is on the edge of Weymouth, near Lodmoor Nature Reserve. It's a modern house, sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You get a decent sized garden, it's south facing so it catches the sun. At the bottom of the garden there's a sort of pod seating area, up on a platform. You can sit up there and look out over the RSPB reserve. On a clear day you can see the sea.
The beach is about a fifteen minute walk. You can go through the nature reserve paths. Weymouth beach is sandy and good for families. The town centre is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes on foot or a short drive. Weymouth has the usual seaside stuff, shops, cafes, arcades. The harbour area is nicer for a meal.
If you like walking, the South West Coast Path runs right past. You can walk towards Portland or towards Lulworth from here. For a day out, Studland Bay and the ruins at Corfe Castle are about half an hour's drive. The Tank Museum at Bovington is also close.
Inside, it's straightforward. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi and TV. All bedding and towels are provided. The kitchen has what you need. It's not a huge place but it works for a family.
