This is Harbour Hill. It’s in Coldharbour, just outside Weymouth in Dorset. It’s one of three cottages in a row, this one’s the middle one. It’s beside a country road, so you get the views across the downs but you do hear the odd car.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s a hand made four poster bed in the main bedroom, which is nice. One twin bedroom is on the first floor, the other is up another flight of stairs on the second floor. The rating is 4 Star, so it’s comfortable and well equipped.
Downstairs there’s a living room with an open fire. It’s good for cooler evenings. Outside there’s an enclosed garden and a patio, plus a BBQ.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is on site.
There’s a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about half a mile away. Weymouth beach and harbour are about four miles. It’s an easy drive. Dorchester is close too, maybe fifteen minutes, for shops and a bit of history.
If you head along the coast towards Abbotsbury, there’s the Abbotsbury Swannery you can walk through. Further along is West Bay and the start of Chesil Beach. The Isle of Portland is connected by the beach and has a lot going on, from sailing to exploring. There’s a local golf course.
