Old Milking Parlour

The Old Milking Parlour is in Osmington, just inland from Weymouth. It's a converted farm building, so it's got thick stone walls. It feels solid.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs, which is handy. The garden is enclosed. You can sit out there with a drink. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The village has a pub, The Sunray, which is a few minutes walk. It does food. For a shop, you'd drive to Preston, just outside Weymouth, which is about ten minutes.

The coast is close. Ringstead Bay is a great shingle beach, about a fifteen minute drive. You can walk down to it. Weymouth beach is sandy and more for families, that's about ten minutes. The South West Coast Path runs right along the cliffs here. The walk to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove from White Nothe is spectacular, but it's a proper hike.

Osmington itself is known for the White Horse cut into the hill. It's an old thing. You can see it from miles around.

Dorchester is twenty minutes inland. It's got the Tutankhamun museum and is a good market town. For a bigger day out, Kingston Lacy or the Tank Museum at Bovington are within half an hour.

In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring two dogs. We leave a cot if you need it.
