This is Violet Bay. It's a terraced fisherman's cottage in Weymouth. The beach is a five minute walk. It's a sandy beach, good for swimming.
The cottage sleeps five. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. One has a king-size bed, the other has two singles that can be zipped together. The stairs are steep.
Downstairs, there's a living room with a sofa bed for one person, a dining area, and a kitchen out the back. The kitchen has what you'd need: oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine. There's a utility room with a washer and dryer, and an outside toilet.
French doors from the dining room lead to a small, enclosed garden. It gets the sun in the morning.
It's a four star rating. That means it's recently been refurbished and is clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. There's a small step down into it.
You're just back from the harbour. It's busy in summer with boats and places to eat. The beach is the main thing. It's right on the Jurassic Coast.
Portland is about a ten minute drive. You can see the Olympic sailing place, Chesil Beach, and the lighthouse at Portland Bill. Dorset's main attractions like Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, and the Tank Museum are all within half an hour. Dorchester is about twenty minutes away.
Facilities: WiFi, parking for one car on the street, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
