Cormorant View
Cormorant View is a house on Portland, near Weymouth. It's in a gated cul-de-sac, so it's quiet and there's no through traffic. You can walk into Weymouth from here, it takes about twenty minutes.
It sleeps seven, across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works.
The main thing is the view. The back of the house looks out over the water, towards Radipole Lake. You see boats and birds. There's a garden with a patio area, and you get the sun in the evening. There's a stairgate and a pushchair in the cupboard if you need them.
Radipole Lake nature reserve is just there. You can walk around it. Look out for the bitterns, they're shy. You can see a lot from the house itself.
Weymouth beach is sandy and shallow, good for kids. It's popular for windsurfing and sailing. The town has the usual shops, cafes, and pubs.
Portland Castle is about a ten-minute drive. It's an English Heritage site. Thomas Hardy's cottage is about half an hour away, up near Dorchester.
Facilities: there's parking for two cars on the drive. WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine. The garden is yours to use. Sorry, no pets.
