Pebbles is in Fortuneswell, at the top end of Portland. It's a terraced cottage. It's old, about 200 years, so expect low ceilings and proper thick walls. We've sorted the damp and updated inside, but kept it feeling like a cottage.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one upstairs bathroom with a walk-in shower. One of the double bedrooms is downstairs and has a step into it from the hallway, so mind your head.
The front door opens straight onto the pavement. There's a small enclosed yard out the back with a bench.
The living room has a woodburning stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's freeview TV and Wi-Fi.
The beach is at the bottom of the hill, a few minutes' walk. The cove at Chiswell is pebbly and the sea is right there when the tide's in. The Chesil Beach path starts from there if you fancy a long walk.
There's a shop, a couple of pubs and a chip shop all within a five-minute walk.
For bigger shops, Weymouth is about a fifteen-minute drive over the causeway. They've got the main sandy beach, the Sea Life centre and the harbour. Further along the coast, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are about half an hour away by car.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-street parking right outside.
If you're planning to explore the area, the Jurassic Coast Trust site is useful for maps and information.
