Lloyds Cottage

Lloyds Cottage is on Portland Bill, right at the very end. It's semi-detached, next to our place. You get the whole cottage to yourselves though. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the Bill, the Bird Observatory, and the lighthouse.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not overly fancy.

The living area is open plan and has those big views. The stairs are fine. There's a garden with a patio and a BBQ.

The local pub and restaurant is about 200 yards away. It's good. The nearest shop is two miles back towards Fortuneswell.

You're right on the coast path here. The walking is superb. It's all rocky coast and open sea. Birdwatching is a big thing, especially at the Observatory. For a beach, you've got Chesil Beach a short drive away. Sailing, windsurfing, fishing, all that is on the doorstep in Portland harbour or at Weymouth.

Portland Castle is worth a look. The Sailing Academy is here too. Weymouth is about ten miles for a bigger town day out. Dorchester is maybe twenty minutes by car. The whole Jurassic Coast is there to explore. Lulworth Cove is about forty minutes one way, Lyme Regis about forty the other.

In the cottage there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
