Freshwater Bay View
Freshwater Bay View is down on Portland. It's a single-storey bungalow, so all on one level. Sleeps two in one bedroom. The view from the front is over the bay, which is why it's called what it's called.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's included: the bedding, towels, WiFi, electricity. There's parking right next to it. The garden is enclosed and there's a patio outside.
You're about a mile from the sea at Freshwater Bay itself, but it's a coastal edge here. The nearest pub is a few minutes' walk. Shop is a bit further.
You can walk to the Portland Bill lighthouse in about 20 minutes. It feels wild out there on the tip. There's also the castle at Portland Castle nearby, run by English Heritage. The National Sailing Academy is on the island if that's your thing.
For a proper day out, Weymouth is a short drive over the causeway. It's a classic Georgian seaside town with a sandy beach. If you head east along the coast, you get to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove within about half an hour. Going west, you've got places like West Bay and Lyme Regis, which is maybe 45 minutes.
The place is set up for two people. There's a washing machine, a shower, and a TV. No pets.
