Newstead Cottage is in Weymouth. It's a terraced house in a residential street about a ten minute walk from the harbour.
It sleeps four, with two double bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom is modern and has a bath and a separate shower. We've had it renovated so it's in good order. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
The stairs are worth noting. They're steep and a bit narrow. That's just how the house is built.
There's a small enclosed garden out the back that gets the sun in the evening. You can park two cars off-road on the driveway.
It's handy for the town. You can walk to the harbour, the shops, and Weymouth Beach. The coastal path is close by if you want to walk. The Jurassic Coast is right there. Chesil Beach and Portland are part of that. For sailing, the National Sailing Academy is on Portland.
Within about half an hour you can drive to Dorchester or Bridport. Abbotsbury with its swannery and gardens is about twenty minutes away. If you want to go further, the New Forest is just over an hour to the east.
The house has an open fire, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. It says it's Christmas themed, which just means we put up some decorations if you're booking over Christmas. You can bring up to two dogs.
