Fossils End
Fossils End is a barn conversion in Coldharbour, near Weymouth. It's all on one floor. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We allow two dogs.
It's down a rough farm track, so your car will get a bit dusty. That's just how it is out here. The barn is next to our house, but you've got your own garden. It's a good size and looks out over the fields. There are sun loungers and chairs in the shed.
The inside is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. We've put a few local fossils into the walls, which is where the name comes from.
You're about three miles from the coast. Chesil Beach is the big one nearby. Weymouth has the proper sandy beach and the harbour. For walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. The Jurassic Coast site has good information on the area.
Within half an hour you've got places like Abbotsbury with its swannery, Lulworth Cove, and Durdle Door. Dorchester is close for shops. For a day out, the National Trust look after Corfe Castle and lots of other spots. Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Bovington are up that way too, if that's your sort of thing.
There's a local pub and a shop about three quarters of a mile away. Weymouth has everything else you'd need.
In terms of what's here, it's all included: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
