The Hive
The Hive is in Crossways, Dorset. It's a wooden cabin on one of the Park Dean holiday parks. It's detached and in a quiet bit of the site.
The cabin sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but not high-end. You can bring one dog.
The site has a lot of woodland. You get use of an indoor swimming pool on site, and there's a sports complex and a games room. There's a dry-ski slope and a fishing lake you can pay to use. You need to buy a family pass for full, unlimited access to all the facilities. That's £106 per week for two adults and two children.
You're in Thomas Hardy country here. The Jurassic Coast is about a fifteen minute drive. Weymouth is the nearest proper seaside town, with a long sandy beach and a promenade.
Lots of the big attractions are within half an hour. That's things like the Weymouth Sea Life Centre, Monkey World, the Tank Museum at Bovington, and Abbotsbury Swannery.
On site there's a shop, a licensed clubhouse and a restaurant. The cabin itself has a patio area, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
