No. 1 The Old School Puddletown

No. 1 The Old School is a cottage in Puddletown, right by the village shop. It's an old school building from the 1860s. We're one of five houses in the terrace now. My place was the headmaster's house back then.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with a bit of character from the old building. You can see the original school shutters in the living room.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. Sorry, no pets though. There's parking on the drive.

The shop is maybe a two minute walk. The pub is about five minutes down the road. They do food.

For days out, Dorchester is close. Weymouth and the beach are about half an hour's drive. The Jurassic Coast is the big thing around here. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are stunning, that's about 25 minutes away. Corfe Castle is in the same direction. If it rains, the Tank Museum at Bovington is very close, or you've got Monkey World.

In the house, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a stairgate if you need it.
