No. 1 The Old School

No. 1 The Old School is in the middle of Puddletown village. It's the end house of a terrace that used to be the village school. It's Grade II listed, so you'll see the original windows and the living room still has the old school shutters.

It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are normal, nothing too steep. Parking is on site.

The village shop is a couple of minutes' walk away. The pub is about five minutes. They do food. It’s a quiet village, but handy.

For days out, Dorchester is ten minutes by car. Weymouth and its beach are about half an hour. The coast is the main reason people come, I think. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are stunning. They're roughly a 25-minute drive. The Jurassic Coast site has good information.

If you want to go further, Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Bovington are within 20-30 minutes. Athelhampton House is about ten minutes away.

Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and satellite TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a stairgate if you need it. The garden is enclosed.

It’s a solid base for seeing things. That's about it.
