Meadow Barn
Meadow Barn is in East Burton, near Wool. It's a converted barn on a quiet lane. The whole place is on one floor. We had it set up for my dad. There's a grab rail by the toilet and the shower's a step-in one. The courtyard is enclosed.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and there's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean, warm, and comfortable. You have your own parking space.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner. We leave some logs to get you started. There's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included.
The village of Wool is about a ten minute walk. There's a shop, a bakery, a butcher, and a couple of pubs that do food. The train station is there too. You can get to Dorchester, Weymouth, or Wareham quite easily.
The coast is about five miles away. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are that way. The beach at Weymouth is sandy and good for families. It's about a twenty minute drive.
If you want a day out, the Tank Museum at Bovington is very close. Monkey World is about fifteen minutes away. Corfe Castle is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes. For walks, the National Trust sites along the coast are good, and the Dorset National Landscape website has ideas.
