Millbrook

Millbrook is a bungalow in Shitterton. It's on a quiet no-through road, so there's no traffic. It's detached, so you're not sharing walls with anyone.

You can fit four people in. Two bedrooms, both with super king size beds. There are two bathrooms as well, one is an en-suite, which is handy. They're both shower rooms.

It's a bungalow, so everything is on the ground floor. No stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and clean, with things like underfloor heating in the main bathroom.

The living room is at the back and looks out over the garden. The garden is a decent size, mostly lawn with a patio. It gets the sun in the evening. Because it's a bit out of the way, you get a good view of the stars at night if it's clear.

There's a local pub you can walk to. For bigger shops, you'd need to drive. Bere Regis is very close, or Wareham is about ten minutes away.

For walking, May's Wood is just up the road. It's about five minutes by car. It's nice for a shorter walk. The big draw is the coast. The Jurassic Coast, with places like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, is about a 25 minute drive. It's spectacular. You really need to see it.

Other places nearby: Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Bovington are very close, maybe five or ten minutes. Dorchester is a 15 minute drive for proper town things. Poole Harbour is about 25 minutes away. You can get boats from there to Brownsea Island. Sculpture by the Lakes, near Dorchester, is a nice spot if you like gardens and art.

The kitchen has the usual stuff: oven, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. There's a dining table for four. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger. No pets, sorry.

Useful links for planning: National Trust Dorset, and for the coast, the Jurassic Coast Trust.
