The Duck House is an apartment on the first floor in Wool. You get there via a shared entrance, then it's your own space. It looks out over the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been refurbished. The kitchen is new and you can chat through the hatch to the living room while you're cooking. There's a welcome pack with some local bits when you arrive.
Outside, there's a lawn and a patio you can use. There's a little stream at the bottom that ducks visit, hence the name. Parking is on site.
Wool village is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop, a bakery, and two pubs that do food. The train station is about ten minutes walk. You can get to London from there, or local buses go to Weymouth and Lulworth.
You're well placed for the coast. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are about a fifteen minute drive. Weymouth beach is twenty minutes. Studland and Swanage are within half an hour.
For walks, the South West Coast Path is close. National Trust Dorset has good information. The Tank Museum is in Bovington, which is basically next door. Corfe Castle is a short drive. For a longer trip, Lyme Regis or the RSPB reserve at Arne are about thirty minutes away.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. The garden is enclosed. Sorry, no pets.
