Simkin is a bungalow in Wareham. It’s a 1950s semi-detached place. You get a private garden with it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s a 2 Star cottage, so as you’d expect, it’s comfortable, clean and everything works, but it’s not luxurious. It’s all on one floor, which is handy.
The town centre is walkable. There’s a shop and a pub about 100 yards away. The pub does food. There’s parking on the drive at the bungalow.
For beaches, you’ll need to drive. Studland and Swanage have sand. The coastline around here is stunning. Lulworth Cove and Kimmeridge Bay are classic Dorset spots, about a 20-25 minute drive. The Dorset Coastal Path is right there for walking. A walk from Kimmeridge up over the cliffs is hard to beat.
Corfe Castle is about 15 minutes away by car. It’s a proper ruined castle on a hill. The National Trust has a lot of sites around here. Poole Harbour and the Arne RSPB reserve are also close if you like boats or birds.
Inside, there’s a washing machine, a TV, and a wood burner for cooler evenings. It’s a solid base for exploring. You can bring up to three dogs.
