Torvean

Torvean is in Wareham. It's a three-bedroom bungalow, so it's all on one level. It sleeps six. There's one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star.

The place is straightforward. The living room is a good size, with a dining table at one end. There's a games room in the old garage, with a pool table and some other things. The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There's a shed for bikes.

You can walk into Wareham town centre in about fifteen minutes. There's a Co-op, some nice bakeries, and a few pubs that do food. The train station is there too, which is useful.

Wareham Forest is right on the doorstep. You can get straight onto the Sika Trail from here for walking or cycling. It's flat, which is good for families.

For days out, you're well placed. Corfe Castle is about four miles away. The ruins are managed by the National Trust. The village around it is nice. From there, you can get the steam train to Swanage if you fancy it.

The coast is about a twenty-minute drive. Studland Beach is good, and so is the walk from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door. They get busy in summer. Poole Harbour is ten minutes away. You can get a ferry from there to Brownsea Island.

Other things nearby include the Tank Museum at Bovington and Monkey World. Both are popular with kids.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. The entrance is step-free.

Useful links: the Jurassic Coast Trust site has good information on the area.
