Mill Cottage is on the edge of Winterbourne Steepleton. It's detached, so you're not sharing any walls. You get the garden and patio to yourselves. It looks out over fields.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The place has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. It's a proper cottage so expect low beams and steep stairs.
You've got a wood burner, which is good for chilly evenings. There's a BBQ and garden furniture outside. Parking is easy, right on the drive.
The village is quiet. The nearest shop is about three quarters of a mile away. There's a pub and a restaurant a mile and a half away in the next village.
Dorchester is three miles down the road. That's where you'll find the supermarkets, cafes, and the Dorset Museum. From there, you can be at Chesil Beach or the Jurassic Coast in about twenty minutes by car. The coastal path from West Bay is spectacular for walking.
If you've got kids, or if you're just interested, places like Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Bovington are within half an hour. Weymouth and its seafront is about a twenty-five minute drive.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a highchair and a stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
For planning days out, the National Trust and Jurassic Coast sites are useful.
