The Barn is out here near Penn in Dorset. It's a single-storey barn conversion on our farm, so no stairs. We live next door in the farmhouse.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. There's a third shower room off the living room, which is handy. It's got a high, vaulted ceiling with the old beams. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable.
You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's parking and we've put in an electric vehicle charger. We can take up to two dogs.
The views are the main thing. It looks out over Marshwood Vale, just fields and hills. It's in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Charmouth is less than two miles away. You've got a beach there, a small supermarket, a couple of pubs. The beach is great for fossils. Lyme Regis is about a ten minute drive down the coast. Bridport and West Bay are a bit further.
For walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. Golden Cap is a good walk. Inland, a lot of the hills are managed by the National Trust.
If you're looking for things to do within half an hour, there's the Seaton Tramway, Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, or the model railway at Pecorama. For a historic day out, Corfe Castle is about 40 minutes' drive.
Facilities: it's all on one level, there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi. We can provide a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ.
