The Barn
The Barn is on a farm near Penn. It's about two miles from Charmouth and you get good views over the fields. It's a single-storey barn conversion so everything is on the ground floor.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom. There's a third shower room just off the living area too, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, with high beamed ceilings.
The owners live in the farmhouse next door. They're there if you need anything. They allow up to two pets.
For facilities, you've got the basics: TV, WiFi, washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a private, enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue. Parking is right outside.
Charmouth is the closest place. It's got a beach that's good for fossil hunting, a small supermarket, and a few pubs. The South West Coast Path runs through it. Lyme Regis is about a ten minute drive. You've got the Cobb harbour, places to eat, and the Marine Aquarium there.
Further afield, within about half an hour, you can get to West Bay and Bridport. The National Trust manages a lot of the coast and countryside here, like the Golden Cap estate. If you don't mind a bit more of a drive, places like Abbotsbury Gardens or the Seaton Tramway are options.
