The Hayloft is part of Marshwood Manor, near Bettiscombe. It's a conversion of an old farm building. You're down a private drive, so it's quiet. The cottage looks out over the estate's own fields and woods.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kitted out. The main living space is upstairs. That's where you get the best views.
You get your own garden bit with a table. The whole estate is about ten acres you can walk around. There's a shared games room with table tennis in another building.
The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine, and a wood burner in the living room. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
The local shop is in Marshwood village, about two miles. There are a couple of old thatched pubs a short drive away too.
The coast is about five miles. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are the closest. The beach at Charmouth is good for fossils. Further along, West Bay has those big cliffs you might recognise. All the beaches are within a twenty minute drive.
For walking, you're between the coast and the hills. The Golden Cap estate is National Trust land and a good starting point. Inland, there are hill forts and places like Forde Abbey.
Bridport is the proper market town, about fifteen minutes by car. Lyme Regis has the harbour and promenade. If you need an indoor pool, there's a sports centre in Bridport.
