The Hayloft
This is The Hayloft. It's one of a group of cottages at Marshwood Manor, out near Bettiscombe. It's quiet here, set back from the road on its own drive. You're in the middle of fields.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The main thing is the space, both inside and out. You get your own garden area with furniture, and there are ten acres of shared gardens and woodland to wander around. There's a games room with table tennis.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right there.
The coast is about five miles away. You've got Lyme Regis one way and West Bay the other. All the beaches along there, like Charmouth and Burton Bradstock, are within about ten miles. The South West Coast Path is right there too.
For a day out, Lyme Regis has the harbour and the Cobb. Bridport is a proper market town with a good high street. Inland, you've got the National Trust Blackdown Hill area and Forde Abbey for gardens. There's a village shop in Marshwood and a couple of pubs a short drive away.
