The Stables At Greenview
The Stables is in Laymore, near Chard on the Dorset border. It's what got made from our old stable block, next to our house. You're not sharing the garden with us, it's all yours. It's enclosed so it's good if you've got a dog, but we don't take pets ourselves so the place is allergen-free.
It's all on one level, which makes it straightforward. The bedroom is a good size and it has a Jack and Jill shower room. That means you can get to it from the bedroom or from the hallway. It's just a quirk of the conversion.
Everything's included, bedding, towels, the electric. There's a washing machine and a proper EV charger if you need it. The kitchen has what you need. It's got a 4 Star rating, which feels about right. It's comfortable and clean.
There's a pub about half a mile down the road that does food. The nearest shop is about a mile away in Winyard's Gap.
If you want to get out, the coast at West Bay is about twenty minutes' drive. Lyme Regis is half an hour. Bridport is twenty-five minutes and has a good market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For a walk, the National Trust land around Lyme is good. If you like gardens, Cricket St Thomas is close by.
Things to know: because it was a stable, some of the doorways and the shower are a bit lower than you might expect. Just mind your head. The parking is right outside.
