The Bee Hive
The Bee Hive is in Street, Somerset. It's a single-storey lodge, so everything's on one level which makes it easy. There's a ramp to the front door and no steps inside, which is good if you need that.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom. There's a king-size bed and then a sofa bed in the living area. One bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.
The main feature is the balcony. It's got a proper table and chairs, looks out over the shared garden. Good spot for a coffee. There's a bit of enclosed decking at the back for dogs. Two are welcome. We leave dog beds and a couple of treats.
Facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Parking right outside. There's a shared games room on the site with a pool table.
Location wise, you're a couple of minutes' drive from the centre of Street. There's a shop about a mile and a half away, a pub just over a mile. The coast at West Bay or Lyme Regis is about half an hour by car.
If you like gardens, Forde Abbey is very close and the National Trust has a few properties within reach like Montacute House. Wells and Glastonbury are about twenty minutes away. Further afield, the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels are good for walks.
