The Old Dairy Annexe
The Old Dairy Annexe is in Donyatt. It's a one bedroom place for two, detached from the main house. The rating is 5 Star, which means it was all newly done up a couple of years ago. Everything is on the ground floor.
You come into one big room with the kitchen, a dining table, and a sofa. The kitchen's got an oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer. The shower room is off that main room. The bedroom is through another door. It's got a double bed. Both rooms have beams. There's a Smart TV in the lounge and one in the bedroom.
Out the kitchen door there's a gravel garden with a table and chairs. It's your own space. There's a pub next door, the Bower Inn. It's a proper village pub, about a twenty second walk.
Ilminster is the nearest town. It's about a mile away, so a five minute drive or a twenty minute walk if you don't mind the hill. It's got supermarkets and some nice independent shops.
The main road through the village has a cycle path that goes to Ilminster one way and Chard the other. It's good for a flat walk or a bike ride. Chard Reservoir is about a ten minute drive if you like that sort of thing.
You're in a good spot for National Trust houses. Montacute House is about twenty minutes away. Barrington Court is similar. For the coast, Lyme Regis is just under half an hour's drive. It's on the Jurassic Coast.
It's a quiet village. The facilities are all new. There's parking for one car on the gravel next to the annexe. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
