Stepen Cottage is in Chard, Somerset. It's a detached stone cottage. You get the garden and a patio to yourselves.
The cottage sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which I'd say means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The walls are thick in parts, which is good to know.
The kitchen and living space are open plan. There's a washing machine, TV, and Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The garden looks out over fields, so it's quiet. There's on-site parking. The property can be booked with the chalet next door if you have a bigger group.
A shop and a pub are about a mile away. For a proper day out, the Jurassic Coast is roughly 40 minutes by car. Lyme Regis and Seaton are good spots to start. Inland, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about half an hour's drive.
