Whatley Lodge is our place. It's out near Winsham, in Somerset. It's detached. You turn off the lane into a long gravel drive, and it's at the bottom of that. It's a quiet spot.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean.
The main thing is the setting. The lodge sits right by a little river. You'll see deer and birds, even kingfishers if you're quiet. The garden is enclosed, so it's private. There's a patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue.
Inside, it's all on the ground floor. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's WiFi, a TV, and parking.
You can bring one dog. We provide all the bedding and towels. A highchair is here if you need it.
The local village, Winsham, is about a mile away. It has a shop and a pub. The pub serves food.
For days out, Forde Abbey and Gardens are very close and worth a visit. The coast is about half an hour away. Lyme Regis and West Bay are good spots on the Jurassic Coast. Inland, the towns of Glastonbury and Street are a similar drive.
