The Old Engine House

The Old Engine House is here on the farm in Drimpton. It's a detached place, so you're on your own, but we live in the farmhouse next door if you need anything. It's a working beef farm, so you'll see the cows in the fields. It's quiet.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms which is handy. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, not huge. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and an enclosed garden with a patio. You can bring two dogs. The stairs are normal, but we've left a stairgate at the top just in case.

The local pub is about 200 yards down the lane. They do food. The nearest shop is two miles away in Beaminster.

You're right on the edge of Forde Abbey's estate here, so the walks from the door are good. For a proper day out, the Jurassic Coast is about half an hour's drive. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are that way for the beach and fossils. West Bay, where they film Broadchurch, is a bit closer.

If it rains, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about 40 minutes. The Haynes Motor Museum is near there too.
