Quantock Lodge is on the Cricket St Thomas estate near Chillington. It's a modern, detached lodge. The main thing is the view. There are big windows looking out over the countryside, all the way to the coast.
It sleeps up to eight people. There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, so it's well finished and everything works as it should.
Outside, there's a patio with a six-person hot tub that looks over the fields. The estate is about a thousand acres. You can walk or cycle around it. There's also an indoor swimming pool on site that you can book to use. Guests get free access to the leisure centre at the hotel on the estate, which has a gym.
There's a pub about 250 yards down the lane. It serves food.
The location is good for seeing both Somerset and Dorset. The Jurassic Coast is about a twenty-minute drive. For local walks and information, the Quantock Hills National Landscape website is useful. Further afield, you've got places like Glastonbury and Wells within about forty-five minutes.
Facilities: it's got parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a wood burning stove. All bedding and towels are included. No pets.
