Quantock Lodge is on the Cricket St Thomas estate near Chard. It's a detached, modern lodge. Sleeps eight, but in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, plus there's a fourth one downstairs. So no queueing.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and has everything you need. The living area is open plan with big windows. There's a separate snug room with a TV.
The main thing is the on-site facilities. There's a shared indoor swimming pool you can book to use. The lodge itself has a hot tub on the patio, which seats six. If you want to use the gym or spa, you get free access to the one at the hotel on the estate.
The estate is about a thousand acres. You can walk or cycle around it. The local pub is about five minutes walk away.
Location wise, you're right on the Somerset and Dorset border. The Jurassic Coast is about half an hour's drive. National Trust Somerset has good info for local places. If you head into Dorset, Dorset Council's Jurassic Coast page is useful.
Facilities include all the basics: parking, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
