The Old Farmhouse is in Burridge, which is in the Blackdown Hills. It's a thatched house, about 600 years old. It's detached, with a garden and a couple of acres of its own land. The views from the windows are just fields.
It sleeps eight in five bedrooms. Three bathrooms in total. One bedroom and a bathroom are on the ground floor. The other four are upstairs. The stairs are normal for an old house. Not a spiral staircase, but you'll need to watch your head in a couple of places.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything's in good order and it's well-equipped. There's a big kitchen, a separate dining room, and a living room with a large fireplace. The wifi works. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
You're about a 25 minute drive from the coast at Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Charmouth beach is good for fossils. Lyme Regis has the Cobb harbour, shops, and places to eat. Sidmouth and Beer are also within about half an hour.
For walks, you're right in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Jurassic Coast is the other direction. There are National Trust places like Forde Abbey and Barrington Court nearby if that's your thing. The Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth is popular.
