The Old Farmhouse is in Burridge, in the Blackdown Hills. It's a thatched cottage, quite old as you'd expect. It's detached and you've got a big garden and two acres of land to yourself. The views are over fields.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. Because it's old, the ceilings are low in a couple of places upstairs. Just something to be aware of.
Inside, there's the main living room and a smaller snug off it. The kitchen is big enough for a few people to be in there. The dining table seats everyone. Outside, there's plenty of seating, a barbecue, and a fire pit.
You're right in the Blackdown Hills, so it's very quiet. For a shop or a pub, you'll need to drive to a nearby village. The coast is about half an hour away. Charmouth beach is good for fossil hunting. Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, and Beer are all within about 30 minutes.
There's a lot to do locally if you like walking or history. The National Trust has quite a few places nearby like Forde Abbey and Barrington Court. The Blackdown Hills website has good walking routes.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for several cars. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
