The Chapel - Chard
The Chapel is on our farm in Wambrook. It's a proper old stone building, used to be the farm chapel. It's detached and you get your own garden. It's a working dairy farm, so you'll see cows and hear tractors sometimes. That's the view.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything works and it's kept clean.
The main room has the old bread oven still in the wall and a wood burner. The floor is slate with underfloor heating, so it's warm underfoot. The beams are low in a couple of doorways, you have to mind your head.
The garden has a patio with a bit of cover. It's a quiet spot. You get sun in the morning out there.
Chard town is about five minutes in the car. Shops, cafes, a few pubs. They say powered flight was invented there.
You're right on the Somerset, Dorset, and Devon borders. Lyme Regis is about half an hour's drive. Taunton is similar. The Jurassic Coast and the Blackdown Hills are both within easy reach if you want to get out.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. You can bring two dogs. Bedding is included.
