The Cow Shed
The Cow Shed is in Bishopswood, just up a track from the village. It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.
It's a converted farm building. We kept it simple. Big open plan living area downstairs, which is good for everyone being together. Upstairs are two large bedrooms and a bathroom with a separate shower and a roll-top bath.
The patio is big, with different seating areas. There's a hot tub that fits six to eight people easily. It looks out over the fields. You can let dogs or kids onto the lawn there.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. They do food. The Somerset Wildlife Trust land is right next to the property, so you can walk straight out from the door.
Honiton is about ten miles away for shops. The coast at Lyme Regis is around half an hour by car. Taunton is to the north, about a 25 minute drive, if you need a big supermarket or a cinema.
Within an hour you can get to Exmoor, the coast at Minehead, or Glastonbury.
Practical things: there's parking for three cars. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can take two well-behaved dogs. There's a stairgate and highchair if needed.
