Old South Cleeve

This is Old South Cleeve. It's a bungalow in Smeatharpe up on the Blackdown Hills. That means you get proper countryside views. It's one of a pair of semi-detached bungalows, but you have your own garden. The garden is a good size, enclosed, and mostly lawn.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom, all on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good, it's well kept. It's also set up for wheelchair access if you need it. There's a ramp, grab rails, that sort of thing. We can provide a wheelchair and a walker if you ask in advance. You can bring one dog.

There's a shop and a pub about a mile away in the village. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Honiton.

You're right on the edge of the Blackdown Hills for walking. For a day out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coast are that way. Dunkeswell airfield is close if you're into that. In the other direction, you can get to Exmoor or the Quantock Hills in under half an hour. Taunton's about 25 minutes for cinemas and big shops.

If you like historic houses, there are a few within a 30 minute drive: Montacute House, Barrington Court, and Dunster Castle.

Facilities are all there: TV, wifi, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking for a couple of cars right outside.
