Old South Cleeve

Old South Cleeve is one of a pair of semi-detached bungalows on the Blackdown Hills. It's a 4 Star property. That mainly means it's got decent fixtures and is well looked after. You get the enclosed garden to yourself.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor, which makes it accessible. There's a ramp, and a wheelchair is available if you need it. Just ask beforehand.

The bungalow has a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.

You're up on the hills here, so it's quiet. The views are over fields. The pub is about a mile down the lane in the village. They do food.

For walking, you're in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The paths start from the door. Dunkeswell airfield is close if you fancy a flying lesson.

Within about half an hour you can get to Honiton or Taunton for shops. The coast at Sidmouth is about 18 miles. The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site. Exmoor and the Quantock Hills are also within easy reach for a drive.

A few specific places you might look up: Forde Abbey, Montacute House, and Dunster Castle are all good for a day out. The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about 25 minutes by car if you like that sort of thing.

You can bring one dog.
