Old Highwood - Piggy In The Middle Dunkeswell

The cottage is in Dunkeswell, on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. It's called Piggy in the Middle because it's the middle one of three barns. We're on a working farm. You'll see cattle in the fields, and there are chickens around.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms: one super king, one king, and a single. One bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are normal.

The back garden is private. It gets the sun in the morning. There's a patio and a bit of lawn. You can see fields and woodland from there.

It's quiet out here at night. You'll hear owls. The sky gets very dark, so you see a lot of stars. We've left a telescope in the cupboard if you fancy a look.

Dunkeswell village is five minutes by car. There's a shop, a chip shop, an Indian restaurant, and a bar. Honiton is about ten minutes away for bigger supermarkets and some antique shops.

The coast is half an hour's drive. Sidmouth, Beer, and Branscombe are that way. Exmouth is about the same. The Jurassic Coast is the main draw.

If you're after something to do, The Donkey Sanctuary is nearby. So is Crealy theme park for kids. The Blackdown Hills are good for walking.

The place has WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We sometimes have fresh eggs and jam for you when you arrive, just ask.
