Stargazer

This is Stargazer. It's one of the cottages at Primrose Farm in the Rawridge area, near Honiton. It's a two-bed place set over two floors. Upstairs there's a double bedroom with a bathroom that has one of those old-fashioned claw-foot tubs. Downstairs there's a twin room and a separate shower room.

The main thing is the view. The patio doors from the living area open onto a deck, and you look right out over the Otter Valley. It's very quiet. The deck and garden are enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids.

It's a working farm, so there are horses and sheep in the fields. There are also a few friendly farm dogs and cats about. You'll see plenty of birds and sometimes deer.

There's a carp lake on the farm that guests can use if they have a fishing licence. You need to use barbless hooks.

The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has everything you'd need: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

You can walk into the villages of Rawridge and Uppottery from here. There are lots of footpaths. The Blackdown Hills are right there for longer walks.

If you want to drive out, the coast is about half an hour away. Seaton and Sidmouth are that way. Lyme Regis and Charmouth, for the Jurassic Coast fossils, are also within a 30 minute drive. Honiton is closer, about ten minutes, for shops and a supermarket.

You can bring up to two dogs. We also have a cot and highchair if you need them.

A few links if you're planning trips: Blackdown Hills AONB for walking maps and Jurassic Coast Trust for information on the coastline.
