Hooked Rise Holiday Lodge
Hooked Rise is a short walk from our farmhouse in Dunkeswell. It's a detached timber lodge, so all on one level. Two bedrooms, a family shower room, and an open plan living area. It's rated 3 Star, which is about right. It's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The ceilings are high which makes it feel light.
You're surrounded by farmland here. It's quiet, but the Dunkeswell Airfield is nearby. You'll hear light aircraft sometimes, and see skydivers. It's part of the place.
The village has a shop about two miles away. The nearest proper pub is about five miles, but there's a licenced restaurant half a mile up the road.
Honiton is five miles away. It's known for antiques and has a market a few days a week. Exeter is about a 25 minute drive. The cathedral and the underground passages are worth seeing. The coast at Sidmouth or Seaton is about half an hour's drive.
For facilities, there's parking right outside, a patio area, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
