Fair Maid
Fair Maid is in Kentisbeare, mid Devon. It's in the courtyard of an old farm. You're in the village, but it feels quiet.
The barn sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both double beds, and two bathrooms. One is an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen looks out over the grounds.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio at the back. It's bordered by a stream. It's a sunny spot. There's parking on site and we've put in an electric vehicle charger.
Inside, you've got the basics covered: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one dog.
The village shop and the pub are about 250 yards away. The pub does food. The shop has the essentials.
For walking, you can start right from the door. The East Devon Way goes through the village. For a bigger day out, the Blackdown Hills area is on your doorstep. The coast is about a 30 minute drive. Exmouth has a long beach. Exeter is 20 minutes away for shopping or the cathedral.
If you're interested in history, there are several National Trust properties within easy reach, like Killerton or A la Ronde. Exmoor is about an hour's drive.
