Lanes Cottage is in Kentisbeare, a small quiet village in the Blackdown Hills. It's on the main lane, but it's a peaceful spot. The cottage dates back to the 17th century, so you get the original oak beams and a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. It works well.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after, but you won't find anything fancy. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
The garden is yours to use. It's not huge, but it's enclosed and gets the sun. There's on-site parking for one car.
You've got a village shop and a pub about a quarter of a mile away. The pub serves food. Cullompton is four miles away for bigger supermarkets, and the M5 junction is there too, so getting to places is straightforward.
Exeter is about a 25 minute drive. The coast at places like Sidmouth or Exmouth is about half an hour. If you want the moors, both Exmoor and Dartmoor are within an hour's drive for a day out. There are plenty of local walks right from the door, especially good if you have a dog. The Blackdown Hills themselves are good for walking and cycling.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and bedding is included. We can provide a cot if you need one.
