Kingfisher Lodge is at Ponsford Ponds, just outside Cullompton. It's a modern, detached lodge that looks out over one of the fishing lakes.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms. The beds are super king-size and can be split into twins if you need that. Doors from both rooms open straight out onto the decking.
The main living area is open plan. There's a big sofa, a Smart TV, and bifold doors that also open onto the deck. Outside, there's a table, chairs, and a hot tub for four people.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and everything is in good order. It's quiet here. You'll see herons and kingfishers, and obviously, people fishing.
If you want to fish, you can. The lodge has access to two ponds. The main one right outside has carp up to 10lbs. There's a specimen pond a few minutes' walk away with slightly bigger fish.
For a shop or a pub, Cullompton is five minutes away by car. It's a proper town with what you need. The M5 motorway is about ten minutes away if you're heading off for the day.
Exeter is twenty minutes away. The south Devon coast, places like Sidmouth, is within half an hour. The north coast beaches, like Croyde for surfing, are about an hour's drive. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor are under an hour away.
Locally, the Blackdown Hills are right here for walking. The Grand Western Canal is three miles away. You can hire a boat or walk the towpath.
Facilities: everything's included. Bedding, towels, WiFi, parking right outside. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. It's all electric, with a wood burner for atmosphere. No pets, I'm afraid.
