The Cow Shed is a barn conversion on our farm. It's detached, so you've got your own space and a long drive to come up, which feels quite private.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms downstairs, all king-size beds. There's two bathrooms. We've given it a 5 Star rating because everything's new and it's well-equipped. The living area is upstairs to get a better look out over the fields. You can see for miles.
The kitchen is modern, with a dishwasher and washing machine. Outside, there's a decent patio with seating, a barbecue, and a hot tub. The hot tub seats five. There's also an outdoor firepit. We've put in an electric vehicle charger too.
A few things to note plainly. The lane up to the farm is a proper farm track, so take it steady. It's very quiet here, but you will hear farm noise sometimes, like tractors. It's a working farm.
The nearest pub is in Butterleigh, about a mile and a half walk down the lane. Tiverton is three miles away for shops and supermarkets. It's handy being 15 minutes from the M5 junction.
For local walks, the Grand Western Canal is two miles away. They do horse-drawn boat trips. Good for a flat walk. Knightshayes and Killerton, the National Trust houses, are about a ten-minute drive. Exeter is half an hour.
You're about halfway between the north and south coasts. Exmoor is maybe 25 minutes drive for moorland walks. Dartmoor is about the same, but in the other direction.
Facilities included: all bedding and towels, cot, highchair, stairgate, WiFi, and parking right outside.
