The Cow Shed
The Cow Shed is a barn conversion on my farm, West Pitt Farm. It's out the back, down a private lane. It's detached and you've got the garden to yourselves. The views are good, looking out over the Exe Valley.
It sleeps six. Three king size bedrooms downstairs, each with its own telly. Two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well kitted out and comfortable. It's upside down, so the main living area is upstairs to make the most of the light and the view. The kitchen is decent, with granite tops and a dishwasher. The stairs aren't bad.
Outside, there's a big patio with a table, chairs, a firepit, and a barbecue. There's also a five-seater hot tub. It's very quiet out there. You get proper dark skies at night.
The village of Butterleigh is about a mile and a half away. There's a pub there. Tiverton is three miles for shops and supermarkets. The Grand Western Canal is two miles away for a flat walk or hiring a boat. You're about halfway between the north and south coasts, so both are doable for a day trip. Exmoor and Dartmoor are each about half an hour's drive.
It's a good spot for visiting National Trust places. Knightshayes and Killerton are close. Exeter is about half an hour.
Facilities: Everything's included like bedding and towels. There's WiFi, a washing machine, parking right outside, and an electric car charger. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. No pets, sorry.
