Barn Court Cottage
Barn Court Cottage is on the edge of Lurley, near Tiverton. It's a detached stone cottage, so you're on your own. You look out onto fields and trees.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with twins. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. You can bring one dog, by the way. Parking is right outside.
There's a public bridleway that runs right past the cottage, so you can start walking straight from the door. It's very quiet. You'll see a lot of birds.
Tiverton is about four miles away for supermarkets and things. The town has Tiverton Museum if that's your sort of thing. For a big day out, Knightshayes Court is close. It's a National Trust house with good gardens.
You're about half an hour from Exmoor. Dulverton is the main town there for access. The coast in either direction is within an hour's drive. North Devon beaches like Woolacombe or Saunton are one way, south coast spots like Sidmouth are the other.
Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi is provided. There's a Smart TV. The garden has furniture.
