Duvale Barn

Duvale Barn is in Cove, Devon. It's not a cottage, it's a big group place. A really big one. It sleeps 43 people across 16 bedrooms. I know that sounds mad, but it's built for it. There are 12 bathrooms and five different staircases, so big groups can spread out a bit.

It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean and well looked after, but it's not a hotel. It's practical for a large group. You can book the whole thing, or there are two other properties next door you can add on if you need even more space.

The location is good for getting around. You're right in the Exe Valley, about seven miles from Tiverton. The M5 is easy to get to from here. Exmoor National Park is about a 30 minute drive away. The coast at Minehead is roughly the same.

For a group this size, the facilities are key. There are four kitchens, which helps when you're cooking for that many. There's a big garden, plenty of parking, and they've even put in an electric vehicle charger. WiFi and TVs are all there. They allow up to three dogs.

It's set up for celebrations. You can arrange for a chef to come in and cater, and they can host wedding receptions for up to 120 guests in the barn. You'd need to sort all that directly with the owner.

Things to do nearby: Wimbleball Lake is close for sailing. There's fishing locally. For a walk, the Tiverton Canal is nice and flat. The Grand Western Canal is in Tiverton itself. For a day out, Dunster Castle is about 20 miles away, or you can go into Exeter.

Useful links if you're planning: Exmoor National Park and National Trust Dunster Castle.

There's a shop about a mile and a half away. The nearest pubs are in Bampton, two miles away.

Just to be clear, this isn't a cosy little bolt-hole. It's a functional, large-scale place for big family gatherings, groups, or events. If that's what you need, it works very well.
