The Boot

The Boot is in Dulverton. It's a thatched, semi-detached cottage, and it's old. Really old, 15th century. The outside is thatch and terracotta tiles, which looks a bit unusual.

Inside it's been updated. It's comfortable. It sleeps eight, four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's got everything you need. The stairs are steep, like any old cottage.

You're right in the town. There's a shop and a pub about ten yards from the door. You can walk to the River Barle and into the town centre easily.

For the car, Exmoor is right there. The South West Coast Path is a short drive north. Lynton and Lynmouth are nice for a trip out, about half an hour away. I'd look up Exmoor National Park for walks. Minehead and Dunster are also about 30 minutes. Dunster Castle is National Trust, so that's a good day out if you're a member: Dunster Castle.

Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi. Parking for one car on site. You can bring two dogs.
