The Boot is in Dulverton. It's an old cottage, 15th century I think, with a thatched roof. The outside walls are covered in these terracotta tiles. They're unusual. You don't see that often.
Inside it's been done up. It's comfortable and warm, but it's still a cottage. It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's semi-detached and right in the town. The river's just down the road. You can walk to the shops, pubs, and restaurants easily. There's a pub about ten yards away.
The stairs are a bit cottagey, like you'd expect. There's a woodburning stove for the colder months. We leave the wood for you. It has wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Parking is on site.
You can bring two dogs. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For walks, you're on the edge of Exmoor. The Exmoor National Park site has maps. The South West Coast Path is a short drive away towards the sea.
Lynmouth and Lynton are about half an hour by car. That's where the cliff railway and Watersmeet are. Minehead has a promenade and the steam railway. Dunster Castle is well worth a visit, run by the National Trust. The beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor are also within a half hour drive.
