Churchtown Farm Cottage is in West Anstey, right on the edge of Exmoor. It's a converted part of an old farmhouse, so you'll see the farm going on around you. Sheep in the fields, that sort of thing.
The house sleeps eight, but it's in three bedrooms. One is downstairs with a double bed. Upstairs there are two big rooms with four beds between them. There are two bathrooms, one is a walk-in shower. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
There is a proper woodburning stove for winter. The garden is enclosed for dogs and kids and there's a patio with a BBQ. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to three dogs.
The location is very quiet. You're not walking to a pub or shop from here. The nearest proper villages are Dulverton or South Molton, both about a fifteen minute drive.
You're basically straight into Exmoor National Park. For walking, cycling or just driving through the scenery, it's all right there. The Tarka Trail for cycling starts nearby. If you go to Dulverton, there are several good places to eat. For a day out, the coast at Lynton and Lynmouth or Minehead is about half an hour's drive.
