Churchtown Farm Cottage

Churchtown Farm Cottage is in West Anstey. It's up a proper country lane, so it's quiet. The cottage itself is part of a working farm, but you've got your own space.

It sleeps eight people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, and one of those is a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

You get two garden spaces. The main one is south facing, over the fields, and it's enclosed. There's a side gate to get to it, and it's about 34 steps from the front door. The other lawned area is just opposite, by the church. Both have garden furniture. There are lights for the evening.

There's a private wood on the farm with two ponds. Dogs can swim there. You can walk straight from the door through the fields and onto Exmoor. The Two Moors Way goes through here. On a clear day, you can see Dartmoor in the distance. It's in the Exmoor Dark Skies area, so the stars can be very good.

The stairs inside are worth noting. They're open, steep, and narrow in places.

For facilities, it's got what you'd need. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to three dogs.

In terms of things to do, you're right on the edge of Exmoor. For a day out, Dulverton is about ten minutes by car. It's a small town with shops, cafes and a few places to eat. Tarr Steps, the ancient clapper bridge, is about a twenty-minute drive. The coast, like Minehead or Porlock, is roughly half an hour away.
