Knowstone
Knowstone is a glamping pod on our smallholding, between South Molton and Tiverton. It's for two people. You're up on a hill here, so the views out over the fields towards Exmoor are really the main thing. The pod itself is open plan, with the kitchen, a table, and the kingsize bed all in one room. There's a separate shower room.
The kitchen has a two-ring hob and a microwave that works as an oven. There's a fridge under the counter. The bed faces the TV and the big window.
Outside is fully enclosed. There's a patio area with seating, a fire pit you can use as a barbecue, and a hot tub. It gets the sun most of the day.
The stairs up to the pod door are steep. It's not suitable for anyone with serious mobility issues.
You can walk from here straight onto the moorland paths. The village of Rackenford is about three miles away for a shop. South Molton, the proper market town, is eleven miles.
You're quite well placed for getting about. Exmoor National Park is a short drive north. The north Devon coast, like Woolacombe or Croyde, is about 40 minutes in the car. Going south, you can be in Sidmouth or Exmouth in a similar time.
For trip planning, the Exmoor National Park site is useful. So is National Trust Devon for the coastal places.
Facilities: WiFi, Smart TV, bedding and towels are included. Parking right by the pod. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed.
