Karslake Cottage is in Winsford, a village just north of Dulverton on Exmoor. It's a semi-detached cottage, fully renovated a few years ago. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, with one bathroom.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. There's a wood burning stove in the main living room, which is a nice feature. The stairs from the kitchen up to the bedrooms are a bit narrow and curved, so you need to be careful. There's also a step down into each bedroom from the landing.
The kitchen has an Aga. There's a utility room and a downstairs toilet. The garden is south-facing and tiered, with seating on both levels. It's fully enclosed.
Winsford is a small village. The Royal Oak pub is a couple of minutes' walk away. It's a 12th century thatched building and they do food. There's also a tea room nearby.
Dulverton is about a five minute drive. It's got shops, cafes, and the Exmoor National Park visitor centre. You're right in the national park here, so walking, wildlife, and the scenery are the main attractions. You might see the Exmoor ponies.
Dunster, with its castle and beach, is about a 20 minute drive. Minehead, where the West Somerset Railway is, is about 25 minutes. The coastal towns of Porlock, Lynton, and Lynmouth are all within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: there's parking on site, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. The property is listed as having wheelchair accessible entrance, but please note the stairs inside and the tiered garden.
