Whortleberry Cottage is one of a few cottages on Triscombe Farm, just outside Wheddon Cross. It's in Exmoor National Park, so the views are quite good.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The living room is quite big, which is useful if you've got a family.
It's part of a farm with other cottages. The main thing here is the shared indoor heated swimming pool. There's also a games room. The water comes from the farm's own spring.
The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or if you bring a dog. Sorry, no pets allowed here though. There's a patio with a barbecue.
Inside, there's an open plan living area, a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding is included. There's parking right outside.
For a shop or a pub, you need to go about a mile to Wheddon Cross. They've got the Rest and Be Thankful pub there.
You're right in the middle of Exmoor here. Dunkery Beacon is the highest point and the views from the top are worth the walk. The coast at Porlock or Minehead is about a 20 minute drive. Minehead has a beach and the start of the West Somerset Railway.
Dunster is a nice village to visit with its castle. For a longer day out, you can drive to Knightshayes Court near Tiverton, which is about 40 minutes away.
