Stream Cottage is part of Triscombe Farm, up near Wheddon Cross on Exmoor. It's the old farm manager's cottage.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. The water comes from the farm's own spring.
Outside, there's a stream that runs through the hillside garden. You can sit out there and look across the valley towards Dunkery Beacon. You'll see plenty of wildlife, birds mainly, sometimes red deer. The farm has an indoor heated swimming pool you can use, and there's a shared games cupboard.
On the practical side: bedding is included, there's a washing machine, WiFi, parking, and a BBQ. Sorry, no pets.
The farm is up a long drive, so it feels properly secluded. You're in the Exmoor National Park. For shops or a pub, you need to go about a mile to Wheddon Cross.
From here, you're well placed for the moor. Dunkery Beacon is the highest point. The coast at Porlock or Minehead is about a 20-30 minute drive. Minehead has the West Somerset Railway if you like steam trains. Dunster, with its castle, is about 15 minutes away.
