Rose Cottage is at Triscombe Farm, near Wheddon Cross. It's a working farm out on Exmoor. The cottage itself is the old farmhouse, so it's a proper stone building.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-kitted out and comfortable. The stairs are typical for an old farmhouse.
The main thing here is the space and the setting. You're in a valley with a river running through. The garden has a stream. You'll see buzzards and deer. There are fields all around.
On the farm there's an indoor heated swimming pool you can use, which is good if the weather turns. There's a games room too. Parking is right outside.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile away in Wheddon Cross. The pub does food.
You're right in the Exmoor National Park. For walking, Dunkery Beacon is the high point. The coastal path is about a 20-minute drive north, towards Porlock and Minehead. Minehead has a beach and the West Somerset Railway steam trains.
Dunster is ten miles away. It's a nice village with a castle. Dulverton is about the same distance, the other way. Good for shops and a cream tea.
Inside the cottage, you've got a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, WiFi, and all the bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
